The hotel room was very, very nice and the views of the lake from our rooms as well as at breakfast and the rooftop terrace were nothing short of stunning. Gorgeous on a sunny day! The staff were wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, courteous and did a great job. They should all be commended. The full breakfast was great as was the staff and service for that meal. The location of the hotel in Bellagio was also perfect being in the center, really the heart of Bellagio. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Perfecto!

Very enjoyable. The receptionists spoke English which was helpful for my wife. They were all very professional. Our view was amazing, it was our first time at lake Como. The room was very comfortable. The accommodation with our car was fantastic, I had not booked the garage but there was one available. We had a boat tour at 11:00am when we were supposed to check out, but they allowed me to use the garage until that was done. I felt special being able to drive in ZTL areas.

I don’t know how you manage the insane crowds and constant barrage of tourists, your staff at the front desk serves with distinction. I was left feeling a little underwhelmed with the restaurant/bar staff downstairs, almost as if I was in their way and as a guest I only ordered a few drinks for me to take to my room. Everyone was polite but seemed uninterested in helping me for the most part. The rooftop bar staff were amazing and welcoming, the views were amazing and the service wonderful and kind. I think where this hotel really shines is with the service. Everyone is super nice and welcoming and extremely professional about their jobs. On top of that, I found the rooms to be very spacious for their price and they were decorated quite nicely. The views were also stunning, and it was nice to have that little balcony to go out on and read and such. The breakfast was really well done and high quality, and had a great variety of offerings.

We absolutely LOVED our stay in room #4! The views from the room are beyond spectacular. I had tears in my eyes when I first walked out on the balcony since the beauty of Lake Como and the mountains took my breath away. I must also mention Chiara (sp?) She wholeheartedly welcomed us upon arrival and that made for a wonderful start to a fabulous time in Bellagio. Also thank you to Luca! He and his wife made us feel like family. We had an amazing Dispensa 63 Dinner in Nature on Tuesday night then on Wednesday evening we were asked to join the party at Du Lac for the lovely Dispensa chef. They were always helpful and lots of great suggestions for restaurants and how to get around. Breakfast buffet was excellent and we went to the rooftop bar both nights! We recently had an 8 day stay at Hotel Du Loc Bellagio. What a beautiful experience from start to finish. Our room was spacious so we didn’t feel cramped for such a long stay with a nice large bathroom and room to store all of our things. Everything was spotless and very clean with a very comfortable bed/bedding. We even commented that we slept better there than we do at home. Some very special things to make note of. From the moment we walked through the lobby doors we were welcomed like family from the hotel staff. This is a family owned and operated hotel since the 1950’s and their attention to detail and pride in what they do is evident in every detail from the cleanliness to the staff they hire. Everyone is wanting to help. Danny, one of the sons was particularly kind and helpful. Another thing to note is the amazing breakfast served each morning and we’re informed that another son (who is a chef) has taken over all of the food service for the hotel starting the beginning of this year, 2025. I can honestly say that after traveling Europe extensively over the past decade that the breakfast served each morning was one of the best we’ve ever experienced regarding the quality, freshness and preparation of the food. You can just tell that the suppliers used for their food preparation are exceptional! Bakery that melts in your mouth! Delicious eggs, bacon and sausage! Coffee and hot chocolate made to order! Well done! Two other great features specific to Hotel Du Loc Bellagio are the rooftop terrace and the complimentary Spa. Amazing! The views from the roof are fabulous and the ability to rest in a hot tub or sauna at the end of a busy day was great. A final comment, after ferrying to most of the main towns on Lake Como we noticed quite a few other hotels with a similar name “du loc”. Don’t be confused into thinking that they are a “chain” of hotels like what is found in the states. Each one is completely independently owned and not connected in any way. A final thank you to the Leoni family for a very enjoyable visit!

We absolutely loved our stay! 9 years ago we got married at Villa Carlotta and we stayed at Hotel Bellagio then but had a lot of dinners and drinks at Du Lac restaurants and Roof Top (both the one who is downstairs and the one that is breakfast now). A wonderfully warm welcome from Sara in reception on our arrival and thanks to Graciana and all the reception staff for their support and assistance during our stay.Equally good service and rapport from the breakfast team with a terrific buffet spread way better than last year. We enjoyed the outside bar area and again the staff were all very engaging and friendly with the added bonus of the rooftop bar on two evenings when the weather permitted us to enjoy some great service and lovely cocktails.

I have to say that Gloria and Marina were so wonderful to us when we came for lunch on Saturday. I had booked a table but had to email to change the booking. Gloria replied so quickly and with such thoughtfulness that we had no worries at all and knew a table would be ready for us. She was so genuine and welcoming when we arrived it felt really special. Marina looked after us at the table, she was just delightful! She looked after us so well and even arranged for a candle for my father's dessert as it was his birthday. They both made our visit so special! I had booked the table after visiting your bistro 6 years ago and having a great experience. We will be back! Thank you!

We had a fabulous stay at the beautiful Hotel De Lac everything was perfect, the location amazing and the views spectacular, we had the most charming balcony on the side of the hotel, which we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on and people watching, our only negative comment is on our last night there was a singer which was lovely but then the disco came on which had it been not as loud we would not have minded but it was so loud, we are not miserable people we love music and people having fun, but the noise levels from the disco did make it uncomfortable for us to sit on the balcony on our last night, if the volume was just turned down a little it would have been fine. Apart from the noise levels of the disco everything else was absolutely perfect, thank you for a lovely stay in your beautiful hotel in the amazing Bellagio

We had an incredible stay at the Hotel Du Lac. The room was very spacious and clean overlooking Lake Como with magnificent views of the lake upon awakening in the morning and beautiful sunsets at night. The breakfast area was a beautiful room looking out at the lake with the most delicious selection of breads and pastries along with your typical breakfast items. We had dinner on our last evening at the hotel and the food and service was terrific. I loved how the ownership took advantage of utilizing the roof top bar 2 hours every evening to watch a magnificent sunset and get a chance to meet and greet other vacationers staying at the hotel. The staff was top shelf in every aspect regarding meeting any need or request. The young lady in the front office at check in and throughout our stay could not have been more wonderful. We utilized her recommendations on many occasions from restaurants to bike rentals and to sightseeing journeys!!! One of the standout memories from our stay at Hotel Du Lac was the exceptional massage experience. The skilled, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind masseuse made it truly unforgettable. Complaint: Sorry I misread the title A gentleman working at the breakfast buffet was quite rude when we arrived as the buffet was closing. He actually pushed ahead of me to turn off the coffee/ hot water machine and raised his voice, yelling Fini and grabbing the food quickly so we could not take something from the buffet. It was honestly shocking and left a very bad taste in our mouth. Other than his behavior, the staff was lovely and helpful. I did tell him that I found his behavior rude and the food that was left would likely be thrown away and he yelled go to the restaurant! And actually was laughing. I could see the woman working was uncomfortable by his rude behavior. We were unable to use the appertif and have a drink two different nights as I guess there is a limit to how many people can be served at a time. This was not so clear to us.

I would highly recommend Hotel Du Lac to anyone traveling to Bellagio. I thought the front desk and the housekeeping staff, as well as the rooftop bar staff were courteous, friendly and so accommodating. When my husband left his iPad in the room after we checked out. They went to heroic measures to get it on the next ferry to Varenna so that we could pick it up from there before we got our train to Milan. They truly went above and beyond and we’re just best. However, I would recommend with some caveats. See below.

We were able to visit Dr. Tagliabue and get a prescription for the antibiotics we needed at the pharmacy. Our vacation in Bellagio was saved!! Understanding the ferry system is essential. Reception helped a number of times with my questions.

Hotel du Lac is a phenomenal hotel. We come to Italy 3 times a year for the last 10 years and stay at many hotels in Italy. Sara Bardinelli was superb in communicating with me regarding room availability and was very sweet and kind. I am sorry that we did not meet her in person Graziano at the front desk also tropo gentile. He escorted us to the room, welcomed us to the hotel and explained to us how to navigate Bellagio. The kindest person to us in the hotel was Shamila (Jamilia) our chambermaid from Argentina. We stayed on the piano 4. Every morning she said hello. Every day she cleaned our room impeccably. The bathroom was immaculate and no dust anywhere. She is an asset to your hotel and was always smiling doing her job. We want to return to Hotel du Lac because of these personnel, its location, and its cleanliness.

We had a great stay at the Hotel and fortunately had lovely weather, however, had the weather been raining it would be nice to have somewhere comfortable inside the hotel to sit and read etc like a lounge. We know there is a small area near the dining room to sit but not really big enough for more than 3 or 4 people. That is only a small negative point but won't stop us recommending the hotel to our friends.

My only complaint is that our party of four wanted to have dessert without dinner at the second floor restaurant and after we were seated on Saturday night we were told they would not let us order dessert if we did not have dinner. We visted the bar / restaurant every day on our 5 days in Bellagio - the staff were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and food - we even had a favourite table (no.23) which was made available for us each time we came! Then we were allowe4d to book the roof terrace for drinks at short notice and literally couldnt have been happier with the quality of food and drinks.

We loved staying as Hotel du Lac in Bellagio. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is very clean. Really enjoyed apertivo time on the roof. Great location. Our balcony was a great refuge from the crowds.

We absolutely loved your hotel! When we came in on the ferry and saw it from the water we were already impressed by the location. Check in was easy. The room was clean and well equipped. Very impressive to have a switch for 110 volt power in the room. Very convenient! Your staff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us on several occasions and made reservations for us. We could not have asked for more. We will be back for sure!!

Hugely helpful reception staff. Our return taxi failed to arrive and they were fantastic in making alternative arrangements for us, we were very very grateful. Also loved the spa, surprised it isn't promoted more as it's an excellent facility.

Hotel Du Lac was our favorite stay on our honeymoon. The location was absolutely perfect, directly in front of the ferry station into Bellagio. One of our favorite parts of our trip was approaching Bellagio in the ferry and seeing that our hotel was right in front of us as we docked, it was truly magical! The panoramic views this hotel offers are priceless & breathtaking. In addition, the service was incredible — we were offered free access to the spa with our room & the hotel staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The free breakfast also had the best selection of any hotel we stayed at on our 2 week trip to Italy. The views from breakfast were beautiful. Overall, 10/10 experience.

Thank you to the friendly staff and to Lucca for the recommendations for a walk to Pescallo. The bed was very comfortable & the room spacious with a corner view of the lake. There were high winds on the lake, so we enjoyed the use of the spa & couples massage. We also enjoyed the best meal we had in Italy at Dispera63. Thanks to Lucca for getting us in.

We loved the spa and the rooftop bar. I was hoping to get some better bathroom essentials, example body moisturiser, hair conditioner. Also we had to ask for an iron and board which is standard in most hotels now.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in for years, a family run hotel. The most welcoming, helpful, friendly staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable, fantastic views at breakfast and from the terrace. I recommend it to anyone staying in Bellagio.
