From the moment we arrived, Hotel du Lac gave us what was, without question, the best hotel experience we have ever had. We travel internationally often and have stayed at many wonderful hotels around the world, but this one stands out above all the rest. A special surprise was arriving during the hotel’s 70th anniversary celebration. We were invited to join the festivities on our very first night, and it was such an incredible experience. Spending the evening celebrating with the owners, their family, and the local community made us feel like we were more than just guests, we truly felt like part of the family. Everyone on the staff was amazing, genuinely kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. Every interaction felt sincere, and you could tell how much pride everyone takes in making each guest’s stay special. Meeting members of the owner’s family made the experience even more memorable, and their warmth and hospitality are something we will never forget. The location is perfect, the rooms are wonderful, and the views of Lago di Como are spectacular. But what really makes Hotel du Lac so special is the people. They turned an already beautiful trip into one we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you to everyone at Hotel du Lac for making our stay so unforgettable. We will absolutely be back, and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Thank you for a lovely stay. We came as part of our honeymoon. Due to high demand when we were booking (sign of a good hotel) we had a Deluxe Room for 3 nights and then a Standard for the final. The staff were very accommodating of this and helped us with the move. Rooms were lovely and spacious and well decorated. Breakfast was great and lots of options. Didn’t eat at the hotel on an evening but ate at Artura for lunch which was incredible. Thank you for making our stay amazing and would definitely recommend.

The hotel has such a special atmosphere. Being family-run gives it a warmth and authenticity that is so rare to find, and it is clear that every member of the family genuinely cares about their guests and takes immense pride in creating an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed three wonderful nights at Hotel du Lac in Bellagio! The location is central, the service was exceptional, and our room was super clean and well-equipped. Every day we were greeted by the welcoming staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel. They answered questions, made recommendations, and arranged transportation for us back to MXP, all done with smiles! We had a positively delicious dinner at their restaurant, Gioya, on our first night at Hotel du Lac and enjoyed cocktails each night at the rooftop bar, with great music and amazing views of Lake Como! A beautiful breakfast buffet is provided each morning. We give Hotel du Lac our highest recommendation and hope to return with our family next year!

Every moment of our time at hotel du lac was special. Prior to arrival we received timely and informative responses to our questions, upon arrival we received warm service from reception staff from the moment of walking to our room until our departure, including assistance with travel plans impacted by local strikes. Our reservation at the rooftop bar Celeste was beautiful, our room accommodations were both clean and elegant, and the hotel staff were kind and hospitable throughout our entire stay- I wish I could name them all to give them the gratitude they deserve for their kindness. I’ve spent the last 5 years working in Italy in the summer and I hope to come back soon. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It has everything you want in one place and is perfectly located. We met so many wonderful staff members. Judy was absolutely lovely each morning we saw her for breakfast. Alessio was the first staff member we met at the front desk. He was helpful and welcoming. The owners are very involved, and their presence adds a personal, welcoming touch that you don’t often find. The building itself is beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable with thoughtful details everywhere you look. Food and drinks are excellent, and the rooftop bar Celeste is a standout. Even the large ice cubes in our cocktails had “Celeste” imprinted on them—one of those small touches that shows how much care goes into everything they do. The staff in the morning was amazing, every single person. One woman made it extra special by bringing our daughter a hot chocolate in the morning. We loved our stay! The staff was wonderful, location perfect and the breakfast was delicious. My only suggestions would be the following- the bath lotion, body wash etc was almost empty upon arrival. We did not run out but a full bottle just feels more luxurious than an empty one. Hair Conditioner in the room would be great, as well as some small wash cloths. The spa is gorgeous! Would be nice if the hot tub/pool was kept a bit warmer. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful experience from checking in to checking out. Bellagio itself is overrun by day tourists. Thus, recommend to arrive late after 5 pm and leave next day before 11 am. This hotel should receive the highest commendation for their staff, service, professionalism, communication and hospitality! We initially booked through Booking.com and had to book 3 individual times to cover the four days we were going to be at the hotel. The hotel contacted us indicating that they would be able to accommodate us by only changing rooms once and that they will move all of our belongings for us. We inquired into transportation from Milan train station, and they responded immediately with different options of traveling to the hotel and costs. We chose to have a driver who arrived promptly with explicit instructions on meeting him after we got off the train with our luggage. We loved the hotel, the service and location and would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Bellagio!

We booked awhile ago and the staff has gone above and beyond in responding to our emails including but not limited to, arranging a driver, offering an upgrade, making spa appointments, checking us in, etc. The service is excellent and the entire experience has exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time at Hotel du Lac recently celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. From arrival to departure, the staff were wonderful. On our actual anniversary, we were left a lovely bottle of Prosecco with a card congratulating us…a very nice gesture and much appreciated. Another day, on our return to the room, we were left a lovely bowl of fruit.

My two days here were all too short! The location of the hotel is perfect, central with astounding views. My balcony was at the side but still had views of the lake. We loved every element of our stay! From the meeting the owners, to working with the manager on some last minute unexpected changes on our end, to the servers in the restaurant and the housecleaning staff, everyone was kind and the customer service top notch! We had to switch rooms (due to changes on our end) and I forgot my necklace in the shower of the first room. I didn’t realize it until they moved us into our new room and found my necklace there waiting for me. Thank you! The location of the hotel is also perfect. My husband and I just returned from four nights at Hotel du Luc. It was absolutely fantastic! EVERYTHING was delightful, from the desk staff, no matter who it was, to the SUPER clean rooms daily taken care, to the sauna, availability of different messages (which we benefitted from) and the staff there were very skilled. The food at the restaurant was delicious and served decoratively. Each morning we were eating a superb breakfast served daily with a kind, professional, attentive service. I could keep going on with this Hotel. In addition to all of this the culture, scenery and beauty out states anything. YOU will not be disappointed.

The lady who checked us in at the hotel was exceptional. We never asked her name but she speaks 5 languages. The lady was so professional and helpful. We had trouble with the TV directions being only in Italian. While it was her job, this lady rushed right up to our room and fixed the problem. She was/is the most professional and helpful hotel staff we met on our entire month in Italy. You need to give her a raise!!

I have been at the FuLac close to 10 visits & just returned from it I love it!!! The rmployees especially Graziano, to the rooms, the predicate fabulous, love the Celeste!! Everything!! The one drawback, & I was very familiar with the “ old “ breakfasts, is the breakfast, miss the carrot/ pineapple juice & the packages of cheese & butter, felt they were more sanitary - & the coffee machine, other than that, I give the DuLac a big Star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were very busy with our sons, rehearsal dinner, and breakfast at the hotel, du lac. However, I will not hesitate to return and just enjoy some downtime that the hotel has the offer. Overall, a fantastic experience, one of the best areas in Italy has to offer.

Spa area needs better maintenance-we found alot of old towels on the beds in the spa as if no one regularly cleans up there during operating hours. Out room was clean and comfortable and the small balcony was an unexpected surprise. I am gluten free & whilst there was a GF basket , the items in there weren’t especially appealing. Some fresh bread and a separate GF toaster would be appreciated. The room was spotless and we loved our room(33). We ate in the cafe downstairs. The food was average at best which was a disappointment. Staff were lovely.

Outside for drinks was a real treat both downstairs and on the roof terrace. Waiting staff brilliant at breakfast and on the terrace. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond. Family owned, they are always there to help with all of our questions and we had many since it was our first time in the area. The hotel could not have been in a better location right on the water in the town of Bellagio. The breakfast was great (bacon crispy) and we were there when the rooftop bar opened for the season which was nice to go to for a cocktail and snacks! The bed was very comfortable, it was the only bed that was not hard on our entire Italy trip.

I would give this hotel 5 stars. We loved every single day spent there: lovely staff, amazing views, perfect location. We have rented a car and have been provided with a garage. The road from the airport wasn’t as difficult as we were expecting, there was a wiggly road at the end, but not too narrow, two cars can pass. The room was very quickly served with TLC. The breakfast was with a very good variety of choices. We would definitely recommend this place.

We booked a standard room and were upgraded to room 61 on the top floor next to the terrace and had a partial view of the lake. We absolutely LOVED it and will stay here again! We also reserved the spa one evening and had it to ourselves - it was such a treat! One morning, I got a 60-minute deep tissue massage, and it was so wonderful. The restaurant on the ground level was absolutely fantastic, and the hotel offered the best complimentary breakfast with the best view. We loved our time here!

We loved our stay at Hotel du Lac. It was recommended to me by a good friend who was there this May where her daughter Perry met the owner's son. The room (15) was spcious and perfectly comfortable, and the balcony with view spectacular. I am never a breakfast person but the daily breakfast was so delicious and the staff so attentative, I enjoyed it each day. Well done Hotel du Lac!

This was a wonderful experience. Firstly, the staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful, as well as efficient and knowlegeable. All answers were "yes" and never "this is not possible". The room was great and functioned well. By the time we got back from breakfast it was made up. There's a new spa. The hotel is situated on the waterfront in town where there are shops and cafes. All of the staff were truly amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. This is what separates good hotels from great hotels. The restaurant and fare offered was also of a quality not associated with most hotels. We enjoyed the meals so much, we dined there four nights out of five, having discovered the restaurant on our second day. The hotel also offers a roof top terrace/bar, where you can relax and take in the glorious views of Lake Como.

We could not fault our stay. The staff went over and above to help us giving us information on things to do, best places to get transport etc . They were always happy and pleased to help. Amazing Hotel – Highly Recommended! This hotel was simply perfect! The staff were absolutely wonderful – warm, helpful, and always available. The location is excellent, right across from the ferry and directly on the main promenade, close to all the shops and restaurants. There’s a fantastic restaurant just below the hotel with great energy and a lively atmosphere in the evenings. The hotel also has a beautiful and relaxing spa and great breakfast. Dear Hotel de Dulac, Paola..at the front desk was a life saver. After being stranded in Bellagio (Floods/Mud slides, roads blocked) she came to our rescue. We frantically tried to call Cuomo Luxury Suites for assistance via mobile & Paola made contact with our hotel but they could not help. Your hotel is beautiful and the shining star of the lake. You saved us and accomodated us for the night. What a wonderful staff. Bravo ..Because of you're helpful navagation we made it back to Milan. Made our plane and arrived to my friends wedding in the USA. Grazie..

Appreciated use of super soft towelling robes and slippers and a U.K. plug socket at desk (very unusual, but very welcome). If only there was a mirror to sit at whilst using the socket for hairdryer.

The Hotel is perfecto, the location is great , the rooms are well thought out . The phone usb charger sockets next to the bed and 13 amp English socket was genius and meant my travel adapters were redundant . An added touch in the room was a small guide book for lake Como .The reception staff Zara and Graziano were only two of the exceptional staff , and their knowledge was very broad from transport to recommendations for restaurants etc. The breakfast for lovely and more than adequate for the start to a day on the Lake . I had a splendid time staying at the Hotel Du Lac. My third time there, and always a pleasure. I don’t know how you manage the insane crowds and constant barrage of tourists, your staff at the front desk serves with distinction. I was left feeling a little underwhelmed with the restaurant/bar staff downstairs, almost as if I was in their way and as a guest I only ordered a few drinks for me to take to my room. Everyone was polite but seemed uninterested in helping me for the most part. The rooftop bar staff were amazing and welcoming, the views were amazing and the service wonderful and kind. Overall, an absolutely great time staying with you again. Grazie mille 🙏🏼

I wouldnt want to stay anywhere else in Bellagio. We were fortunate enough to stay there two nights and had to move to another hotel for our third and fourth nights because your hotel was fully booked. We were not happy a the other hotel; very disappointed after staying at yours, the best!!

Thanks to very friendly and helpful staff at reception who assisted both whilst we were there but also in all the email correspondence before we arrived . Tour of property and room when we arrived was really helpful . Thanks to the reception staff on that day . ( we arrived on Tuesday 18th Aug around 1:30 pm ) so large thanks to the lady on reception at that time who made us so welcome . Thanks also to the lady in charge of at Buffet breakfast for her friendliness and smiling face . Being able to fill water bottles was a positive as was the 5th floor roof top space where we could relax . Having air conditioning working in room even though key is not in the door is good .

The staff and owners are excellent. Location could not be better. I had an accident while in town and they were very helpful. Breakfast buffet was exactly the same each of our three mornings. Eggs were not good. Fruit was excellent. Overall a little disappointing.

Had a wonderful weeks stay. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly, efficient staff, who provided lots of tips and information throughout our stay. Room with balcony was beautiful and very quiet once the doors were closed. Waiting staff in all the areas, provided an excellent service. Wonderful breakfast room and plenty to choose from, staff were helpful with my gluten/lactose intolerance. Loved Arturo in the evenings, nice menu and relaxed, lively atmosphere.

We love Hotel du Lac! Such a beautiful gem on Lake Como. This was our 4th stay and we already are planning our return. The addition of Bistro Arturo and the new styling is fantastic. We were unable to make it to Gioya, but we will next time. Our compliments to the staff for making our stay magical.
