Grazie Villa Balbi, ci fai sempre trascorrere i weekend di inizio stagione sentendoci accolti. Abbiamo trovato la struttura in ordine, curata, bella la nuova piscina. Alessandro alla reception per noi è una garanzia, conosce le nostre abitudini e ci sentiamo a casa. Unica pecca forse è la colazione, per un quattro stelle apprezzerei meno succhi pronti e una spremuta fresca.

Accoglienza ecceziobale per garbo, professionalità e precisione. Ci è stata assegnata la camera 824 al 3° puano. Avremmo preferito una camera più ariosa e trovare delle bittiglie di acqua in camera. Suggeriamo inoltre di sostituire il bollitore per bevande calde con una macchinetta per caffè a cialde/cspsule, oramai diffusissime nelle strutture albeeghiere di un certo livello. Complimenti anche per il personale di sala (in particolare una giovane donna argentina) e per l'addetto alla sistemazione dell'auto.

On behalf of my Great Rail Journeys group, I would like to convey my grateful thanks to all the staff at the Grand Villa Balbi. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay: the staff; the rooms; breakfasts; gardens and communal areas. We would have appreciated air conditioning in the rooms as for British people, the temperatures were very warm and having the windows open attracted biting insects. I hope I will return with another group in the future.

The staff at Villa Balbi were very helpful, including the reception, concierge and restaurant. Complimentary breakfast was a big bonus for us and the room and view was stunning. Schon bei der Ankunft spürt man die besondere Atmosphäre dieses Hauses – elegant, stilvoll und gleichzeitig warm und einladend. Das Ambiente ist bis ins Detail geschmackvoll gestaltet und vermittelt ein Gefühl von Geborgenheit, sodass man sich vom ersten Moment an wohlfühlt. Unser Zimmer war großzügig, äußerst komfortabel und bot alles, was man sich für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt wünschen kann. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service: Das gesamte Team war stets professionell, zuvorkommend und gleichzeitig herzlich, sodass man sich als Gast, herzlich wirklich willkommen gefühlt hat. Auch die kulinarischen Erlebnisse waren auf höchstem Niveau – jedes Frühstück in der Parkanlage und im Restaurantbereich Genuss für alle Sinne. Mein Großvater hatte selbst in diesem Teil Liguriens ind den Grandhotels an der Riviera um 1910 gearbeitet und es war schön indiese Welt einzutauchen. Wir reisen mit den schönsten Erinnerungen ab und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese außergewöhnliche Zeit in Ihrem großartigen Hotel! Herzlichst Gerhard Mayr

Surtout qu’il y en a dans d’autres hôtels, mais qui refuse l’accès à ceux qui ne sont pas clients. Il devrait y avoir des échanges avec les autres hôtels. Thank you for preserving this wonderful place. With regard to the building and the gardens, please keep everything as it is. We love the typical Italian atmosphere and we have been staying with you for the 4th or 5th time. We first visited when our twins were still teens, now they joined us for their 32nd birthday that we celebrated in Sestri Levante. We also tried the restaurant one evening, but the menue did not meet our expectations. However, we absolutely love the Bar ( every evening) and the entire team of staff has been fantastic. My stay with my granddaughter was very pleasant. The room was clean, the service excellent and the breakfast buffet was especially varied and delicious. The 2 meals we ate in the restaurant were also excellent. Perhaps if there was a bigger choice for the dinner menu we would have eaten more meals in the hotel.

I would like to say thank you so much to the very kind gentleman/ night concierge, Mr. Vincenzo. He went out of his way to help us when we were let down by a local taxi company with our children and could not get home to Marina dei Massa. He tried really hard to get us a taxi, he put some charge on my phone when the battery had died and he checked train times for us. All of this was so helpful and my children were relaxed waiting in the warmth whilst he did all of this. He was our super hero! He then found us a room to sleep for the night so we were able to take a train early in the morning. So we could make our flight back to London. I wanted to let you know how truly grateful we all were to this lovely man, please pass on our sincere thanks xx Thank you so much

Obwohl wir unser Ankuftsdatum selber fälschlicherweise falsch eingetragen haben, hat der Portier an der Rezeption uns geholfen und ein freies Zimmer organisiert. Nach 2 Nächten war uns das Zimmer zur Straße deutlich zu laut und zu hell. Nachdem es so heiß war, mussten wir die Klimaanlage laufen lassen. Diese ist im Zimmer des alten Gebäudes deutlich zu laut. Der Portier an der Rezeption hat uns freundlicherweise ein ruhiges Zimmer im Neubau organisiert, auch mit leiser Klimaanlagen :) Vielen Dank an die Rezeption für ihre tatkräftige Hilfe! Sui ringraziamenti e complimenti non posso che dilungarmi! Per prima cosa Villa Balbi: è una meraviglia architettonica e abbiamo apprezzato davvero moltissimo potervi soggiornare, visitandola e vivendola appieno utilizzando le diverse aree comuni; è stato un privilegio. La villa è incantevole e, nonostante la complessità nel conservare un immobile di questo genere che richiede costanti attenzioni e costanti restauri e che quindi ha sempre un margine di miglioramento, gli interventi effettuati sino ad ora si percepisce siano stati sostanziali ma allo stesso tempo delicati e rispettosi del complesso, preservandone il carattere storico, ma rendendola facilmente fruibile e dotandola di ogni comfort. Il giardino (e piscina) è un vero gioiello, insuperabile e per noi uno dei posti migliori della struttura, di cui abbiamo ammirato anche l'ottima manutenzione. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: ringraziamo tutto lo staff che abbiamo sempre visto lavorare col sorriso, grande professionalità ed eleganza, ed essere prontissimo a esaudire ogni esigenza, intercettandola ancor prima che la stessa venisse richiesta. Ottimo il servizio ristorante, di cui abbiamo goduto di un'unica cena, ma l'attenzione e la cortesia del personale e in particolar modo la bontà dei piatti l'ha resa memorabile (oltre all'elegante e suggestiva location e la cura nel creare persino un sottofondo musicale adatto). Tutti i servizi sono stati molto apprezzati: l'accoglienza alla reception è stata ottima, abbiamo apprezzato molto i comfort compresi nel pacchetto "gold" e vorrei dare un punto di merito anche per la presenza di un set bagno molto completo (persino ago e filo! utilissimo e non facile da trovare in altre strutture). Il servizio spiaggia è stato di pari livello al resto, con una spiaggia molto curata e dotata di ogni agio. La colazione servita in giardino è un altro punto forte della struttura, dove sin dal primo mattino si può godere delle aree esterne oltre all'ottima selezione di prodotti sia dolci sia salati. Si rivela sin da subito un momento di accoglienza e relax. La camera: nonostante molti preferiscano soggiornare nella parte "antica" noi abbiamo adorato l'ala più moderna, molto comoda ma ugualmente caratterizzata dal fascino della villa principale che è stato ben ricreato. L'arredo è molto curato e la percezione dello spazio e dell'estetica è più che positivo. Ottima persino la potenza e temperatura dell'acqua nella doccia (non scontato in strutture di questa dimensione). Le stanze risultano inoltre ben areate e silenziose. Sono certa che stiamo dimenticando qualcosa, ma complessivamente vogliamo ringraziare per il magnifico soggiorno, dove abbiamo sempre percepito una grande cura e attenzione verso l'ambiente e verso l'ospite, senza mai essere invadente. I luoghi sono curati e splendidi, il cibo ottimo e il soggiorno diventa così un'esperienza totalmente immersiva. Concludo dicendo che inoltre abbiamo apprezzato molto anche vedere che la villa è a conduzione familiare, dove gli stessi proprietari "si sporcano le mani" ogni giorno lavorando con umiltà e passione e trovando comunque il tempo di interagire con gli ospiti con molta cortesia. Questo conferisce un valore aggiunto alla struttura rendendola ancor di più un posto con un'anima. Immagino sia evidente da questa lunghissima nota che contiamo di tornare per un prossimo soggiorno!
