The hotel is excellent. Very well run and the staff are friendly and efficient. I felt the room we were in was “dated” and needed upgrading, particularly the curtains and furniture. The two chairs were not comfortable - armchairs would have been more comfortable. But everything was very clean and the bed linen was good quality. The cleaning staff were very efficient.

The hotel is a wonderful respite from the busy streets of Desenzano, relaxing on the deck in the gardens with a drink and watching the lake and people going by. A special shout out to Matteo who went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable experience. Everyone else was wonderful too! Our stay there will always remain in our minds as an enjoyable experience.

A beautiful hotel in a great central location. Desenzano is a wonderful city with great cafes and restaurants and easily accessible transport across Lake Garda. Perfect surroundings too. The hotel was immaculate and staff were eager to please.

I was disappointed of: 1. Prepayment for 2 double rooms even we booked with credit card and stayed one year earlier in Parkhotel already. Absolut unusual!! 2. Pricing: one year earlier we paid € 165/room for 4th Floor with large terrace. Now € 290/300/room. For my opinion it's by far too high even hotel itself and location is fine but there is no 'Park' with some shadow areas for relax. 3. Staff insist of my car-key to drive my car by themselves. Some customers don't like valet parking as it's not on their control.

The hotel while having very friendly staff and is well maintained, lacks character, is more like a business hotel than a holiday resort. Particularly the bar area which seems to be designed by a person looking to ‘make a design statement’ rather than creating a relaxing, comfortable place to enjoy a drink. In addition, the layout is poor and the area doesn’t make the best use of the limited space.

Put a shelf in the shower, having to put shampoo and soap on the floor of the shower is quite annoying and gross. Everytime we went to our room the maids cart was outside the hall it made our stay feel less than special and our room was very loud so we had to close the window and was then very hot when we closed the window so that was disappointing. Great stay from start to finish. Really easy to book, i had a couple of queries re parking and early check in, all pre questions were answered promptly. We were celebrating my wifes birthday so it was a lovely touch when the staff arranged a bottle of bubbly and chocolates to be delivered to the room whilst we were at breakfast. It's the little touches like that that make you remember your stay for all the right reasons. Cannot fault the staff, their professionalism and the facilities.

Lovely hotel, good location with wonderful views. Corridors are quite tired with highly patterned carpet but most areas are well decorated with interesting artefacts. Bedrooms are comfortable, bathrooms are great and very clean. The garden is lovely, a nice place to sit for a drink. Staff are great, friendly efficient service. The bed was so very comfortable, the pillows full and I had the best night sleep. Having blackout curtains was a great idea and very effective. There was no laundry service available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Park Hotel. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is perfectly situated close to everything but just far enough away from the busy main square. We only had breakfast at the restaurant and it was superb. All of the staff were great however a special mention to the lovely ladies at breakfast service. Super efficient and lovely manner with the guests. The pool is also lovely. Fairly small area so could be a bit crowded at peak season but there was plenty of room when we used it. The staff member manning the bar was great too. Made a very good Aperol Spritz! I don't know the name of the staff member who handled our checkout but he was also great. I really appreciated the Olive Oil gift that was given when we checked out. The little bottle is now in my kitchen back here in New Zealand. A really lovely touch. If we are fortunate enough to return to Lake Garda in future, we would certainly stay at Park Hotel again. Grazie Mille!

Nadir and Massimmo were exceptional and stand out at reception. They were professional, yet relaxed enough to smile and have a comfortable chat. Cleaning staff were thorough. All staff said good morning and wanted us to have the best stay. One managers (lady with bobbed hair) who wore ad skirt and blouse was unusually rude and avoided eye contact. She drove a fiat uno. It was noticeable.

Amazing holiday in a gorgeous hotel. View from the sunbeds is incredible, pool was perfect. Towels for the pool is a great touch keeping the aesthetic with everyone having the same. All staff were helpful and friendly throughout the hotel. Our room was spotless. Our only minor gripes were that our first floor room only had a very limited lake view (the balcony with sea view was a key reason for choosing the hotel) and the pool was not really deep enough for swimming. We also noted that our visit was for a special occasion (retirement ÷ key birthday) but this was not marked in any way so not sure why we were asked the question? Anyway, thank you all. Rob (Waite).

Brilliant staff who were so helpful when my partner lost his phone. The TUI rep found it on our transfer bus and handed it into hotel reception. My partner was told about his returned phone immediately. Staff at all times, in all parts of the hotel were so courteous and helpful - they are a great asset to the hotel. The hotel decor is beautiful and artistic - I was an art teacher for many years and loved the colours, art and the fantastic books to look at when in restaurant, lounge etc. We had fantastic, relaxing holiday at Park hotel in beautiful Desenzano. The original room we were allocated was inadequate. Whilst it is true you could say there was a balcony it was too small to use. The lake could only be viewed when standing right at the "balcony". However, after we complained we were put in a different room where the balcony and view were very acceptable. You should not, in my opinion, describe rooms 468-471 inc as having a balcony and a lake view.

This is our third visit to The Park Hotel. We like the location, on the edge of the main activity area and having lovely views of Lake Gara, covenient for the Ferry, shops and restaurants whilst still being quiet. The outside garden space is also appreciated and as well as breakfast we have in the past enjoyed drinks with friends. Congratulations to all the staff for their help and courtesy and a special mention for the those who often get forgotten, the ladies who looked after the bedrooms and always did an excellent and thorough job.

The pool area was a disappointment- allowing smoking in such a small area made it very unpleasant for us non smokers. Also allowing customers to put towels on their sunbed and then leave the area meant many people who were there could not enjoy a sunbed.
