The only real complaint was that the room service food wasn't great. Both the chicken and the accompanying potatoes were dry. The cheese cake was nice, but it was forgotten by the wait staff and I had to call reception for it to be brought back up; upon that call the receptionist said "oh dear, I told him to bring it up" and while I appreciate the concern, the guest shouldn't be hearing blame exchanges. The housekeeping was always excellent, but inconsistent. sometimes the bed runner was put back in place, sometimes the bed runner/bolster pillows were put back on the bed, sometimes they were put away on top of the wardrobe. When I asked reception that my coffee set be topped up with only the ristretto pods, that was done the first time and then back to the default set up the next day. None of these are serious complaints, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, just pointers of how to improve.

There was not one single drawer in the room. One pays 600 Euros per night and then you need to leave your clothes on the sofa, for that reason alone we will not be coming back. It's disrespectful. Beyond that, the room and hotel is underwhelming compared to the impresison created on the website. I actually think you should have a website that is more faithful to the actual feeling one has when live at the hotel to avoid disappointing your guests that much.

Furthermore, croissants were not good, eggs benedict although with surcharge was one of the worst I ever had - shamefully small portion (one egg?), watery and with no taste. In addition, I was requested to sign the surcharge immediately when it came on the table (???) - so instead to enjoy it while it is hot I need to deal with paperwork, as a hotel guest - a little bit inappropriate. Fresh orange jus tastes like supermarket one.

Amazing. Just amazing. No words needed. I have been lucky enough to stay in some of the world’s greatest hotels and I can safely say that the level of service here matches some and beats others. As with every hotel, there are bumps and I was shown to the wrong room initially. This does not matter - what matters is how these bumps are handled. This was probably one of my best hotel stays ever. The staff from reception, cleaning, hotel bar and breakfast were all fantastic. My flight was cancelled at the end of my stay and they quickly managed to organise the last room availabe in the hotel at short notice. When we got home we found out that night that air traffic control had an issue, causing 320 flights to be cancelled, so saved me from a bigger problem. Excellent location outside the Tricolore M4 metro, quick access to Linate Airport, city centre, transport links and sights. We used the hotel as base to visit other nearby Milan attractions i.e. Lake Como and Verona. There are a good selection of food in the hotel and a great range of restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend staying here for your trips to Milan and surrounding area. Thank you to the Staff at Chateau Monfort for making our stay so enjoyable and being there when we needed them.

A big thank you to the manager and staff, who were all very kind and attentive. The concierge asked us what brought us to Italy and we mentioned that we were in Milan for the opening of our daughter's art show at one of the galleries and that we had spent the previous week touring Italy to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We were so surprised and delighted when the manager sent a bottle of champagne to our room as a gift to further celebrate our trip - it was totally unexpected and very gratefully received! Thank you, it was the proverbial icing on the cake to a wonderful Italian vacation!

We really enjoyed our evenings in the hotel bar. We had drinks there three of the four nights we stayed at the hotel. The pianist on Saturday night was spectacular! And the bartenders took great care of us. It was a special environment.
