The hotel was beautiful and the staff was great. One night of our stay, we missed our train to Florence and we didn’t get to the hotel until 2:00am. The man at the front desk was there and he said he was waiting for us to return. We thought that was so nice and caring that he had noticed we were not back. We really appreciated the caring he showed. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Florence and we will recommend Hotel La Fortezza to all of our family and friends.

All the staff we came into contact with were very professional, polite and extremely helpful from the reception to the food service, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was amazing 🤩 what a fantastic selection, the honeycomb was something I have never seen before and was a special little touch that sets you apart from others. All in all a fantastic experience and if visiting Florence again would definitely return here.

La struttura è bella, curata e accogliente, con ambienti piacevoli e ben tenuti. Un grande complimento va soprattutto al personale: gentile, disponibile e sempre attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo il gesto di offrirci il caffè prima dell’orario di apertura della colazione, visto che dovevamo partire presto: una piccola attenzione che fa davvero la differenza. Le camere erano pulite e ordinate, garantendo un soggiorno confortevole. Comodo anche il parcheggio in loco, disponibile al costo di 20 euro a notte, soluzione pratica per chi arriva in auto. Esperienza decisamente positiva, hotel consigliato!

The temperature was very cool, exactly what is needed after hot summer days (the hottest we had was 39°). The shower was really nice and stayed perfectly consistent, a lot of the hotels we have tried the shower would drop in temperature constantly but at La Fortezza we never experienced any inconsistency. The room (superior double) was absolutely first class. Modern, crisp styling, a fantastic comfortable bed, great air conditioning (a must) and a superb bathroom with fantastic walk in shower! Seriously better the the 3 star rating of the hotel. Close enough to the attractions but far enough away for a quiet peaceful night's sleep.

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We really liked having a kettle in the room so we could have a tea/coffee. The complimentary bottles of water were so welcome when we arrived. The room was lovely and modern- the layout was thoughtful for the traveller as there was a place to put our suitcases.

The staff at breakfast, again very good, ESPECIALLY the young female who was really under pressure one morning, with numerous people coming into the breakfast room, at once. On our last day yesterday, I accidently locked our passports and money in the room safe, The guy on duty was magnificent in the way that he helped us -it was 05.00 in a morning and we had a flight at 07.00. The front desk was so helpful with directions and suggestions. They even offered to pack a to-go breakfast for us to take with us since we had and early tour. That was so thoughtful! It was also very convenient to have bottles of water and other drinks for purchase in the lobby. We had a great stay!
