All of the staff were so very friendly and extremely helpful. I rang the day before we arrived to ask about using an iron as previous trips to different parts of Italy was not allowed. I was informed of a steamer. To my surprise it was waiting at reception along with the distilled water. I was delighted. We were also able to check in early too. Very helpful staff at all hours .the hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was lovely. Also the location from the tram stop to the city is brilliant.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was great. One night of our stay, we missed our train to Florence and we didn’t get to the hotel until 2:00am. The man at the front desk was there and he said he was waiting for us to return. We thought that was so nice and caring that he had noticed we were not back. We really appreciated the caring he showed. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Florence and we will recommend Hotel La Fortezza to all of our family and friends.

Ottimo soggiorno all’Hotel Fortezza di Firenze. La posizione è davvero strategica, comoda per muoversi in città e ben collegata. La struttura è bella, curata e accogliente, con ambienti piacevoli e ben tenuti. Un grande complimento va soprattutto al personale: gentile, disponibile e sempre attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo il gesto di offrirci il caffè prima dell’orario di apertura della colazione, visto che dovevamo partire presto: una piccola attenzione che fa davvero la differenza. Le camere erano pulite e ordinate, garantendo un soggiorno confortevole. Comodo anche il parcheggio in loco, disponibile al costo di 20 euro a notte, soluzione pratica per chi arriva in auto. Esperienza decisamente positiva, hotel consigliato!

Wir mussten bei der Abreise um 5.30 Uhr auschecken und hatten dies am Abend zuvor angekündigt. Wir vermuten, dass der ältere nette Herr der Hotel-Chef war, der uns den frühen checkout problemlos zusagt und nicht nur das, wir bekamen von ihm noch eine großzügig gepackte Lunchbox mit! Das war soo liebenswert und freundlich! So brauchten wir uns am Flughafen nichts mehr kaufen.

The temperature was very cool, exactly what is needed after hot summer days (the hottest we had was 39°). The shower was really nice and stayed perfectly consistent, a lot of the hotels we have tried the shower would drop in temperature constantly but at La Fortezza we never experienced any inconsistency. The cleaning team was brilliant and anything we used was replaced while we were out and about.

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We really liked having a kettle in the room so we could have a tea/coffee. The complimentary bottles of water were so welcome when we arrived. The room was lovely and modern- the layout was thoughtful for the traveller as there was a place to put our suitcases.
