we enjoyed our stay at the hotel over the long easter weekend, very friendly staff at the reception and breakfast/dinner. excellent variety of breakfast items, bread, eggs and various grilled vegetables etc. Flamel restaurant was excellent as well. we definitely will recommend the hotel to family and friends and will be staying there again when coming back to Lugano next time.

Wir hatten das Zimmer 109. Das Einzige was wir am Hotel zu bemängeln haben ist das Zimmer. Die Aussicht auf den Hinterhof mit den Wagen voller Wäsche war gar nicht schön. Das Zimmer hat unserer Meinung nach wenig Charme, so dass wir uns nicht dort aufhalten wollten. Ansonsten ist das Hotel perfekt. In einem anderen Zimmer würden wir wiederkommen, in diesem empfehlen wir das Hotel aber nicht. Der Preis war (an Ostern) eher hoch.

Yes. Thanks to George, the 1st contact we had as he was very supportive in guiding us from the car park to the reception. He was very professional and informative from the start to the end. The receptionist who checked us in and out is also to be commended. He is a real gem for the company. Very informative and professional. The breakfast team was also polite and courteous.

Everything is just on very high level of courtesy and professionalism. Just a small remark: I’ve noticed that the hotel fragrance (mainly in the lobby area) is becoming increasingly strong and overpowering; it would be nice to be greeted by a neutral scent when arriving to the hotel.

Nachteile: im Zimmer ist in der Nacht nicht wirklich dunkel - die Anzeigen diverser Geräte (Docking Station, TV, Masterswitch, Temperaturanzeige etc) leuchten in allen Varianten und erfordern das Abdecken durch Handtücher, Kissen etc. Die Pflanze ist eine nette Idee aber als ich ankam, krabbelte es im und um den Topf, so dass ich es sofort auf den Gang stellte. Es mag zwar die Luft verbessern, doch gleichzeitig die Hygiene verschlechtern.... Super schön, dass der Frühstücksservice die Leute mit Namen anspricht. Ein sehr nettes, persönliches Detail

We had a wonderful stay at the Dantelugano. Salvatore was excellent at check in and also with helping us to find things to do. The hospitality at this hotel is amazing. We had an odor in our room and Pietro was promptly on top of it and handled it quickly and professionally. The servers in the restaurant at dinner time were very knowledgeable on the menu and very professional. they made our dinner very enjoyable. My one small complaint is that I wish the shower was bigger. But I also understand that smaller showers are typical in Europe.

We really enjoyed our stay in your hotel. The only suggestion I would make is to put a single sofa in the room instead of a chair. It’s more comfortable to sit on. Also thank you for being so welcoming for our dog : there was a dog bed, bowls and even dog food in the room. Very much appreciated.

Dear Luganodante, We had an absolutely fabulous short stay at your Hotel. First and foremost it was the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. But also enjoyed breakfast and dinner a lot. The variety of fresh products and the warm-food corner for breakfast was a big surprise. And the menu of Flamel convinced us to stay at the Hotel for dinner instead of going out. It was a great experience too. Another highlight for us was the Ticino-Ticket. Even for swiss citizen with a half-fare card, there are so many possibilities. All in all, grazie mille! It was a very nice experience staying at your place.

This is a nice, but unusual hotel in the heart of Lugano. After working out how to find the funicular rail transport from the Lugano Railway Station, everything was very good. The room was very comfortable and the bead was excellent. Breakfast was included for our stay and was more than adequate for our needs. The hotel staff on reception and in the bar were excellent, courteous and very helpful. We would certainly stay here again.

The close proximity to the train station when we first arrived was a huge plus as one is so tired from travelling especially when you are from a different country and trying to find your way around. The welcome at the door was a very pleasant surprise. One gets the feeling that the staff really enjoy what they do. As a business English trainer I have worked with many hotel staff in Germany, helping them to deal with guests appropriately in English and I can say, with complete honesty, that all the Lugano Dante staff were friendly, courteous and professional - we weredelighted to be your guests!. It did not matter whether the staff spoke 'perfect' English because their commitment to taking care of their guests was clear. Let me give you one example; althugh I have lived in Germany for over 20 years, I still love my English cup of tea with milk. Therefore whenever I stay in a hotel I try to find a room offering tea and coffee facilities in the room. I then politely ask if I can have a small amount of fresh milk, to make tea in my room. Recently at a large 'designer' hotel, I was told that this was not possible and that 'no-one has ever asked for milk before'. (This is a typical example of poor customer service in Germany ). Last week. at the Lugano Dante, this request was absolutely no problem 😊. Thank you so much!

I regret not getting more names as everyone was so kind and helpful. Steven on reception sorted out a few things for us and gave us lots of advice on what to do etc. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The waiter who served us our meal in the evening was lovely too and the gentleman behind the bar. The staff at breakfast were so friendly and the housekeeping staff always greeted us whenever we passed. A friendly and personal like that makes for such a lovely stay. We had a great time in Lugano thanks to your lovely hospitality.

When we checked in Steven was very welcoming and later helped us with some Lugano highlights suggestions. One day we came back to the hotel late morning to find the clean my room sign still out. Gala was absoulutely amazing in helping us secure a dinner reservation at Grotto del Pepp. It was our favorite restaurant/experience during our two week trip to Switzerland and Austria. We loved it. I was unsuccessful in securing a reservation at Grotto del Pepp but Gala worked her magic and was able to get us a reservation. This restaurant was suggested by Gala as a local grotto that was very authentic. We loved everything about it - the drive up the mountain, the food, the staff. Thank you, thank you to Gala and our compliments to her service and great recommendation. Also, breakfast was amazing at Luganodante - so many selections and a lot of local flavor too. And and the staff were so pleasant. While the rooms were a bit small for vacationing travelers (vs. business travelers) they were also very pleasant and I liked that the room and hotel were focused on sustainability. We could have used a luggage rack though to accommodate both of our suitcases.

Every single staff person was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic about our being there, professional, and most were fun too. Simone was fabulous every time we interacted with him. Wish we remembered the names of others. The breakfast was extraordinary. The location of course was perfect. There was an housekeeping woman her name might’ve been Elizabeth(?), She and her husband live in Como. She’s originally from Budapest I believe. She was extremely helpful in making sure we had the right drinks in our room, that we didn’t run out of toilet paper, etc. her personality was professional and engaging. And a woman at the front desk with long, dark curly hair was particularly patient and helpful in helping me print out a bank/finance item that I needed. Hands-down a fabulous day and we highly recommend you!! Thank you very much

Siamo rimasti per Pasqua, qualche giorno dopo gli impegni di lavoro e abbiamo apprezzato la vostra struttura per il clima di vacanza e relax. Conoscono le mie esigenze e mi assegnano una camera adeguata dove posso anche lavorare, preparandomi pure una sedia comoda :) I nuovi collaboratori introdotti nel servizio colazione e ristorante sono stati bravissimi e a poche settimane dal loro arrivo hanno già dimostrato di essersi pienamente introdotti nel team. Avevamo un piccolo appunto riguardo ad un piatto della cena e le nostre osservazioni sono state accolte costruttivamente dal maître di sala e dal personale in servizio che ci ha pure offerto un dessert.
