DETAILS MATTER! Sticky, filthy, horrifying PENS! •I took a picture to show you the full of fuzz and filth pens! SERIOUSLY! PLEASE REPLACE THE PENS! And REPLACE THEM WITH A BEAUTIFUL EXQUISITE PEN TO MATCH THE QUALITY OF YOUR HOTEL! We stayed in 3 different rooms and all pens were gross in each room, including the lobby, and the restaurant!!! NOTE: The tea is a nice offering to guests, But BEAUTIFUL PEN would be exceptional. * As a world traveler I often have limited space and the bulky tea is not easily packed. *A BEAUTIFUL PEN can be easily packed (with the lovely note paper at your hotel) and IS A MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR FANTASTIC ADVERTISING! also it would bring years of evoking sweet memories of VA visit lingering. *I’m stunned that this detail has been unchecked, forgotten, ignored, and represents VA. PLEASE GET LOVELY PENS!! Myself and my husband travel a lot. I have Acquired pens from hotels all over the world. My most favorite pens are from Paris and Hong Kong. I LOVE these high quality pens and they remind me of the wonderful travel and THEY MAKE ME WANT TO RETURN TO THOSE HOTELS AND TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THOSE HOTELS TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT WILL BE TRAVELING! Our room: •Safe in our room did not lock easily, temperamental. •Our room was lovely for the most part. Location was spectacular! •The room Definitly showed signs of wear n tear. This was especially surprising as it was low season when we stayed for over 1 week, 8 nights. * Chipped tiles and paint. * Worn out chairs on balcony. One chair had its seat back coming out of the wood. * The bathroom door needs to be cleaned when the door is closed. Our guest’s room: My aunt LOVED her room! She stayed 1 evening and loved the tea gift! It’s her been favorite tea for years! The Pillow Menu: FANTASTIC! I’ve never experienced THAT! WELL DONE! Spa and treatments: * EXCEPTIONALLY FANTASTIC!! Best massages and facials I’ve had! * **Isobel is great!** The dry sauna could have been warmer. •I did notice a locker that did NOT LOCK properly. But The spa was a favorite aspect of our VA experience! We look forward to returning someday. Guest toilet: * The community bathroom that was used by all guests ***near the bar,restaurant, lobby area, has broken, chipped tile and grout and needs to be more throughly cleaned and cared for. SUCH A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL SHOULD HAVE BETTER MAINTAINED common TOILET AREAS. Restaurant: * Excellent! We had hosted a dinner for 11 persons. Our extended family that live in Florence had never experience your hotel. They raved about the food and ambiance! But they noted: •the STICKY PENS and •substandard restroom, toilet area floor. Our last nights at VA you had 2 guests arrive in a Lamborghini. We were in the lobby as they arrived. The first thing he asked was where the toilet was. And the woman was checking them in .. and all I could think was *DON’T touch the pens! and *DON’T use the bathroom near the lobby! *Waters are adorable with the picture of your gorgeous city!* But **PENS are DISGUSTING!

Sweetest staff ever! Plus the hotel is very beautiful with incredible amenities. It was a memorable stay and hopefully we will come back one day and it will be our first recommendation to anyone going to florence! Keep it up best hotel so far❤️
