We had a fantastic time here for our honeymoon and the staff were absolutely brilliant. The hotel is beautiful and although a short distance from city centre this allows for the feeling of a more rural hotel and there are bikes and a free shuttle bus, or walking doesn’t take too long. Breakfast is superb and although drinks and snacks are somewhat pricey, they are of high quality

1. Storage in the bedroom is inadequate - there are no drawers for clothes and really nowhere to put them. 2. There is no desk space in the room so you can't sit to work or to use the internet except outside. 3. The spa-shower is so complicated that it hard to work out how to use it just to get a regular shower. It needs better instructions. In our room (204) the shower had lost the handle on the temperature control so changing the temperature was really hard. 4. There are only two "European" power sockets - the rest are all the 3-pin Italian ones for which most travellers do not have adaptors. There are also no USB charge points. 5. The toiletries are rather basic for a luxury room - there are no flannels, only liquid soap and a very basic shampoo.

Era la prima volta che soggiornavamo in un 5 stelle a Firenze e l’esperienza è stata al di sopra delle nostre aspettative. Il personale tutto molto attento, disponibile e preparato. Purtroppo non abbiamo avuto modo di fare un massaggio in spa ma lo terremo per la prossima occasione! Tutto perfetto. Abbiamo segnalato solo il servizio Wi-Fi perché dalla nostra stanza 128 faticava a prendere però sicuramente sarà stato un problema momentaneo. Apprezzatissimi shampoo e bagnoschiuma, veramente delicati.

My room was lovely and an upgrade which I was very pleased with. I had the junior suite with the shower in the room. This was lovely for me as I was alone, but had I been with my husband I would have had to change rooms. Some things ought to be private and I prefer not to be watched while showering. We don’t all have perfect bodies!
