On arrival to Florence on our way to the hotel my wife had an accident. Fractured her left arm we got to the hotel to deposit our bags samone was excellent he helped me get our bags to our room and arranged taxi to get us to the hospital. He and the rest of the staff were so helpful.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Our room was warm and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean. Our welcome to the hotel was wonderful. We had emailed beforehand and were very grateful to have a kettle in our room. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast and also the turndown service. We would like to express our deep appreciation for the kindness and professionalism of all the staff who went to so much trouble to ensure we were having a good holiday- the advice for places to visit and restaurant recommendations was super. All staff are very helpful and polite. Our biggest complaint is with the bathroom. Extremely dim lighting, no makeup mirror. There is mold because the hot and cold water pipes feeding the shower are not sealed and have let water penetrate the wall, tile, hence creating mold. This is likely going to be an expensive repair.

I would like to acknowledge the young black man who works your front desk (we unfortunately forgot his name now), but we asked him for a restaurant recommendation and he not only gave us a recommendation, but also made a reservation for us and it ended up being one of the best restaurants that we went to during our entire 2 week trip. The hotel staff was great our last day we were there I had broken my ankle and the hotel staff helped me into the hotel and even to my room. They even let me use a desk chair to get around in the room. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name that was at the desk the night we got back from the hospital but he was great he was very kind and even helped us get to the room. He even helped us out to the car when it was time to leave. We would recommend this hotel greatly. I would also like to that the hotel management for giving us a bottle of champagne even though we left it behind.
