Thank you for providing a wonderful base for our visit to Florence. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. They were also very helpful and quick to address any problems. The slightly lower rating for the room is due to the layout and furnishings of the room which meant there was little floor space. But overall we were impressed by the hotel. The rooftop bar was a wonderful addition.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé, peu ou pas du tout bruyant. On était très au calme dans la chambre que l'on avait ce qui est très appréciable, surtout après une journée de visite et autre. Le personnel est très sympathique et le fait d'avoir une personne qui nous accompagne à notre chambre est un réel plus (évite surtout de se perdre la 1ère fois). La vue du sky bar est superbe. Pour finir, je recommanderais l'hôtel et me tournerais de nouveau vers celui-ci si je devais passer un autre séjour à Florence.

Many thanks to the front desk for their hospitality during my stay. The location was super for my 3 days in Florence and would definitely recommend to friends visiting. My only reason for the 9 was because I was unable to view CNN during my 3 days and I thought the very large room I was in, "an upgrade" was a bit odd and I felt a bit unsafe being a single on the first floor near entrance. Our stay was amazing. The staff were very attentive and the garden suite was so beautiful and private. La Scaletta has a beautiful rooftop area for a panoramic view of Florence, and is perfectly located to walk everywhere including luxury shopping, The Uffizi Gallery, and Galleria dell’Accademia. There are also so many great restaurants nearby. We highly recommend La Scaletta and will stay there again!

The location is perfect for foot tours of the city center, situated between Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio. I was impressed by the size and comfort of my room that was attached to the large bathroom (two steps down) by a small lounge with a refrigerator and the coffee maker as well as a couch. There was noise from the street until late in the evening, but that is to be expected at such a location. Most of all, housekeeping was excellent with fresh towels every day and spotless cleaning. I highly recommend this hotel for tourists and will gladly come again.

Before I booked my room, I made a series of questions via email. Each was answered quickly and clearly. They saw to it that I had a room that matched my requests perfectly. I had lived there once long ago, when it was still a pensione. It has since been changed and upgraded, but the staff saw to it that I felt like I had come home.

Thank you to everyone at La Scaletta. It was a most wonderful visit. We especially appreciated the care that was given to my wife when she was ill - Kadi (spelling?) in the restaurant had some soft food made specially for her. We were also happy that moving rooms wasn't a problem! We were a bit confused about the rooms and really enjoyed being on the ground floor on the courtyard.

We were extra pleased to find out we could use the sky bar (top deck) in December and be served drinks there. Thank you for keeping that amenity open in the off-season. This is my 4th time staying at La Scaletta in the last 4 years. I love that you added a main floor lobby and rest room last year. And I was pleased to be given such a lovely room. Our accommodations were sublime - it was a beautiful room, overlooking the garden. Very comfortable beds/linens, very clean & the shower/water pressure was excellent!! It was our oasis in a beautiful but noisy & busy city; yet still so close to the old part of Florence, and historical monuments, buildings, statues! Our experience with the staff was absolutely 10/10 and made our stay great. Everyone was friendly, prompt, and allowed us to stow our bags before our room was ready on our first day, and on our last day before we were due for our train. I am so grateful to the gentleman who was part of the team who greeted me when I arrived, sometime between noon and 1:30 PM on 7/13/24. I asked about the possibility of laundry service on 7/14/24. I was told laundry services are not available on Sundays. However, without me asking further, this gentleman immediately made a call or two and then informed me that my laundry could be picked up later that day, on 7/13/24. I had clean laundry back by the end of 7/13/24. Wow, that was so helpful AND so appreciated! And it occurred before my check-in time. The helpful gentleman was tall and appeared to be in his 40's, maybe early 50's. I assume he was part of your management; but if he isn't part of your management, then he should be promoted into management soon because of his problem-solving skills and service orientation.
