There was a problem with our room when we checked in-the shower was clogged. Management immediately moved us to another room and upgraded us. We were quite impressed at how quickly and efficiently they solved the problem and took care of us.

Scaleta’s competition included very upscale hotels in Rome and the Tuscany region, although those hotels had better ambience and staff. I appreciate the effort that the hotel put into breakfast. The front desk provided terrific service, especially on our departure from Florence. They took charge of arranging our taxi to the train station, checking out the night before, and providing bag breakfasts for us to take on our train ride. Awesome! The bathroom was very nice and the daily clean-up of our room was superb.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The hotel is VERY conveniently located to attractions and has a wide variety of nearby eating establishments. The rooms (we stayed in two) are extremely clean. It’s a beautiful old building. The rooftop bar and restaurant has an incredible view!! The front desk staff are extremely gracious and helpful. If I come to Florence again, I will be happy to stay here again, and will refer friends and relatives to this hotel as well.

Communication during our booking was excellent and when our flight was delayed you kindly moved our booking with no extra charge, which was a great relief to us. Your staff were all polite, helpful and friendly and the hotel perfectly located for a few days seeing the sites of historic Florence. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a great selection for all tastes and the rooftop terrace a lovely place to start or finish the day. We had wondered about booking as some of the rooms looked a little bare in the pics but our room was spacious and well appointed with wardrobes, plenty of hangers, plug sockets and mirrors and a lovely bathroom with huge shower. Thank you for a fabulous stay and for the Prosecco to kick off our anniversary celebrations.

Thank you for providing a wonderful base for our visit to Florence. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. They were also very helpful and quick to address any problems. The slightly lower rating for the room is due to the layout and furnishings of the room which meant there was little floor space. But overall we were impressed by the hotel. The rooftop bar was a wonderful addition.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé, peu ou pas du tout bruyant. On était très au calme dans la chambre que l'on avait ce qui est très appréciable, surtout après une journée de visite et autre. Le personnel est très sympathique et le fait d'avoir une personne qui nous accompagne à notre chambre est un réel plus (évite surtout de se perdre la 1ère fois). La vue du sky bar est superbe. Pour finir, je recommanderais l'hôtel et me tournerais de nouveau vers celui-ci si je devais passer un autre séjour à Florence.

We love Hotel La Scaletta. We were there in 2018, and we loved it so much, we returned on this, our next trip to Florence. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The room was very comfortable, and we loved our view of the Boboli Garden. And, of course, the rooftop bar and terrace are the crowning jewels!

My only reason for the 9 was because I was unable to view CNN during my 3 days and I thought the very large room I was in, "an upgrade" was a bit odd and I felt a bit unsafe being a single on the first floor near entrance. Our stay was amazing. The staff were very attentive and the garden suite was so beautiful and private. La Scaletta has a beautiful rooftop area for a panoramic view of Florence, and is perfectly located to walk everywhere including luxury shopping, The Uffizi Gallery, and Galleria dell’Accademia. There are also so many great restaurants nearby. We highly recommend La Scaletta and will stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Scaletta and will definitely book again when next in Florence. All hotel staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was very good. We also enjoyed the roof top area where the bartender came up to the top level and pointed out various points of interest. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

The location is perfect for foot tours of the city center, situated between Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio. I was impressed by the size and comfort of my room that was attached to the large bathroom (two steps down) by a small lounge with a refrigerator and the coffee maker as well as a couch. There was noise from the street until late in the evening, but that is to be expected at such a location. Most of all, housekeeping was excellent with fresh towels every day and spotless cleaning. I highly recommend this hotel for tourists and will gladly come again.
