The staff were amazing and very helpful. Service at evening meal was fantastic by the young man. Reception desk on check in and check out were super professional and helpful. Breakfast was well thought out with a nice selection. Only two small issues during the stay, at breakfast, the hot food was tepid and the TV channels would not find the international channels (BBC or CNN news).

Before I booked my room, I made a series of questions via email. Each was answered quickly and clearly. They saw to it that I had a room that matched my requests perfectly. We especially appreciated the care that was given to my wife when she was ill - Kadi (spelling?) in the restaurant had some soft food made specially for her. We were extra pleased to find out we could use the sky bar (top deck) in December and be served drinks there. Thank you for keeping that amenity open in the off-season. This is my 4th time staying at La Scaletta in the last 4 years. I love that you added a main floor lobby and rest room last year. And I was pleased to be given such a lovely room. Our experience with the staff was absolutely 10/10 and made our stay great. Everyone was friendly, prompt, and allowed us to stow our bags before our room was ready on our first day, and on our last day before we were due for our train. I am so grateful to the gentleman who was part of the team who greeted me when I arrived, sometime between noon and 1:30 PM on 7/13/24. I asked about the possibility of laundry service on 7/14/24. I was told laundry services are not available on Sundays. However, without me asking further, this gentleman immediately made a call or two and then informed me that my laundry could be picked up later that day, on 7/13/24. I had clean laundry back by the end of 7/13/24. Wow, that was so helpful AND so appreciated! And it occurred before my check-in time. The helpful gentleman was tall and appeared to be in his 40's, maybe early 50's. I assume he was part of your management; but if he isn't part of your management, then he should be promoted into management soon because of his problem-solving skills and service orientation.

I regret not taking staff names down, but the all of the staff that we interacted with during our stay were just so professional and extremely helpful. I do not feel like we bothered them a lot, but when we did seek advice or assistance they were patient and professional. The employee staffing the bar upstairs was patient and attentive even when the patio was full. Even the cleaning staff had smiles and a pleasant word. I travel a lot, and when the cleaning staff is smiling and have pleasant words, I know I am in a great place.
