I’m incredibly impressed with Luca at the breakfast bar. I went there early this morning with my son and daughter-in-law. She is living with Celiac disease and is very sensitive to gluten. He was helpful to direct to gluten free food, but then noticed she left without eating. We had tried explaining her extreme sensitivity but wasn’t sure it made sense as we only speak English. After they left he asked me to explain again and was very eager to help once he understood how sensitive she is. Luca and the kitchen staff went far over and above to accommodate her, ensuring she had a plate of food to eat by the time we got back from the museum. He even covered the plate like I’d requested and let us take it to the room. There are not enough words to convey how incredibly grateful 🥹 we are. It’s hard to travel with someone so sensitive to gluten. We’ve come from Canada all the way to Italy and we will forever remember this particular hotel because of Luca’s kindness, sincerity in wanting to understand, then going over and above to Mae sure she could eat breakfast. There was a slight issue with the first room we were given and maintenance were working on the issue when we arrived as a result the staff quickly and very kindly upgraded our room and left us some complementary wine which was extremely kind!
