Palazzo Belmonte

2026-10-06

Super comfortable room with amazing view of the gardens and sea complemented by beautiful swimming pool and sandy beach. The gardens are defined by their abundance of mature trees and all the various buildings are scrupulously clean and maintained to a very high standard. Delicious choices at breakfast and bar meals in lovely surroundings. Attentive and friendly staff add to the refined atmosphere. Altogether a wonderful relaxing week to be repeated on a regular basis!

2026-10-04

We revisited with you to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were married on the grounds on October 3, 2006 and wanted to spend our anniversary there.

2026-10-01

A very beautiful place with top notch service

2026-09-29

The Palazzo Belmonte, is a beautiful experience, the setting with its gardens, the rooms which are elegantly decorated and furnished, the staff who are friendly and offer professional service all combine to offer an extraordinary experience. Our expectations were exceeded in every aspect, we will return.

2026-09-28

Palazzo Belmonte is a special place. The buildings and amenities are in total harmony with their beautiful surroundings. Time seems to slow down and you can find peace and relaxation.

2026-09-27

2026-09-25

A truly wonderful place to stay, with magnificent garden, pool, beach and views across to the Amalfi Coast and Capri in the distance. The staff were all delightful and helpful in every way. We shall definitely return.

2026-09-25

2026-09-24

The grounds, the planting, the palms and the pool are a delight Easy access to a private part of the beach, with sunbeds included in the rates are a huge benefit

2026-09-24

Palazzo Belmonte is a little paradise. For us everything s always just perfect. A marvellous place to relax and be quite spoiled. The rooms are so elegant spacious and comfortable. The kindness of the staff, all the staff could not be bettered. Nothing is too much trouble. Lunch on the terrace is perfect then aperitivi and watching the glorious sunsets . What could be better?

2026-09-24

This is an exceptional place in beautiful surroundings with impeccable service and thoughtful facilities and wonderful Italian style

2026-09-24

The Palazzo Belmonte is a unique and special place. The old building is beautiful and full of atmosphere and history. The grounds are also beautiful. It is all very well kept and tastefully decorated - not ‘over the top’ but classy and stylish. One feels very at home there and well- looked after. All the staff are polite and friendly - nothing is too much trouble. The private Sandy beach is beautiful - not overcrowded in September. The lunch facility was very welcome and one of the best places that we ate while there. Our room was comfortable and spacious and beautifully decorated with antiques.

2026-09-22

We had the most beautiful stay and the staff was so kind and helpful. Out of all the places we stayed on our trip, this was by far our favorite. The room, beach, and restaurant were so lovely. The staff was so helpful when our flights were repeatedly cancelled/rebooked. They helped rebook our taxi and extend our stay. The dogs around the property were the best part! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

2026-09-21

We had an absolutely wonderful time and can’t wait to return. Such a beautiful setting, very magical

2026-09-21

2026-09-18

It was a dream place to stay, like a sanctuary if you want to relax. The property is so curated and special. I really enjoyed my stay.

2026-09-18

The clearance of the beach this year is nothing short of miraculous! Just hope the tides do not “excavate” the rocks that were so difficult to avoid in earlier years .

2026-09-19

Beautiful location. Fabulous gardens. Comfy sun loungers by the pool. Every member of the team super friendly and service oriented without being intrusive. All made even better due to 3 cocker spaniels and plenty of well looked after cats.

2026-09-18

A very great place to stay, the pictures don’t do justice to the layout of the hotel and castle. I will start with a very clean rooms, very friendly staff and always answering questions at any hour of the day or night. I would recommend to anybody coming to Italy to stay there but at least needs to be a few nights the place is huge with a great ocean view and a great beachfront property to lay on and enjoy the ocean water. The water was crystal clear. The menu for breakfast and lunch had a lot of selections. I have zero complaints and would stay again in future.

2026-09-17

We travelled here under a Duvine Bicycle tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations and would have loved to stay longer. It was so fun to meet the Princess and have aperitivos with her. I hope one day to come back and spend more time there. The pool area was wonderful, staff was amazing. We really loved our stay.

2026-09-17

The Palazzo Belmonte is exactly what I was looking for for an authentic day in Italy Italy. The architecture was gorgeous. The views are unbelievable and I love that they had a private beach that was Sandy and not rocky! The pool was beautiful with a lovely bartender who made terrific cocktails. The feel of this small resort is high-end, yet quaint at the same time walking distance to Little restaurants and shopping..

2026-09-15

Thank you to your staff and management for their generosity and warmth ! This trip was unforgettable - I cannot wait to come back

2026-09-15

Thank you so much to everyone at Palazzo Belmonte for making our stay so special. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and cared for. There is something truly magical about Palazzo Belmonte, its charm, and peaceful atmosphere are unforgettable. It honestly felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into a beautiful family home.

2026-09-10

2026-09-08

Our stay at the Belmonte was special in many ways. The setting was just what we needed, quiet, tranquil and restful. It had a romantic feel to the place which would be very difficult to replicate. The staff were excellent all with warm smiles and efficiency, going the extra mile to ensure you had everything you needed. We will certainly return . Thank you Belmonte, I cant remember writing a survey that deserved more than I could put into words.

2026-08-25

This is a unique resort in Italy that has its own beach, park, and historic environment - all at once! The owner and their team create such welcoming atmosphere that guests feel like being at home from the moment they enter the palace gates.

2026-08-26

2026-08-16

2026-08-15

Alle proprietarie...affabili e cortesi. Al personale tutto...professionale ,garbato e disponibile. E a Safira dal dolce sorriso e mani toccasana..

2026-08-14

What a truly magical place Palazzo Belmonte is. Sarah, Francesca and Sophia have created a small piece of heaven in their family Palazzo. I cant speak highly enough of it. Seldom have I found such a gem. The staff were exceptional, helpful and courteous. They looked after me so well, thank you. The grounds are stunning, an oasis of green with wonderful flowers and trees. The rooms were perfect, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and very clean. I loved the breakfasts, and delicious lunch. The reception were very helpful when booking restaurants for dinner. Great to have the private beach and I enjoyed lying by the very pretty pool. 2026-07-24

Love the garden and the view. The staff was very friendly aa well

2026-07-23

2026-07-20

Unbelievably amazing location, right next to one of the cutest towns ever. Beautiful building and the staff was generally great.

2026-07-17

Ottimo staff. Tutti molto gentili dal bar alla reception

2026-07-16

I brought my wife and daughter to this beautiful hotel for 5 nights and loved every minute of it. The staff was excellent. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The breakfast and lunch were outstanding, and the views were beautiful. We could not ask for a better place to stay. The town was also exactly what we were looking for. Very limited other tourists were there. We will definitely return! My only hope selfishly is that it stays somewhat of a secret!

2026-07-16

2026-07-11

Everybody was helpful, charming and professional. Having last visited in 2024, we noticed the improvements and welcoming touches at the Palazzo. Lovely to see.

2026-07-09

The palazzo was perfectly suited for our multi-generation holiday - toddler, parents, grandparents plus twenty-somethings were all happy as could be. Thank you for making it so perfect

2026-07-09

Struttura meravigliosa. Torneremo.

2026-07-06

We loved the authenticity of the Palazzo and friendly, intimate atmosphere. The gardens are stunning and well looked after. Our rooms in the modern building were very simple but nice and we loved the terrace, bathroom size and views. The staff were all friendly and professional, Chiara in particular was very attentive during our stay which was appreciated. The food offering we had was quite limited but well made, fresh and tasty.

2026-07-07

Struttura eccezionale

2026-07-07

Breakfast and lunch are fantastic and great recommendations for eating in town. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the Cilento coast

2026-07-03

The most perfect hidden gem. This hotel is unlike anything I have every experienced. The gardens are breathtaking and the scenery is right out of a movie. I could not have imagined a better place and the photos do not do it justice.

2026-07-03

THE BEST!

2026-07-03

The staff was very kind and accommodating. They made the stay so amazing and I definitely recommend staying here!

2026-06-30

Tutti molto gentili e disponibili

2026-07-02

Posto meraviglioso. Servizio eccellente. Ottima proposta a pranzo e a colazione . Meravigliosa le camere del palazzo

2026-06-28

2026-06-27

Hotel Palazzo is a delightful and well-located hotel. Boutique in size and exquisitely located adjoining both beach and village, the historic buildings lend themselves to an experience of your own choice and making: lazy, active, exploring, beach, etc. The facilities are first-class, the food of a strong quality and the personnel super-friendly and professional.

2026-06-28

Staying at Palazzo Belmonte felt like a true treat for both body and mind. It was the perfect escape from the pace of everyday life, a place where you can genuinely unwind. We loved the peace and tranquility of the gorgeous gardens, the sound of birdsong, and the beautifully preserved historic estate. Everything feels authentic, private, and exceptionally well maintained. It's a rare place that invites you to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. We can't wait to come back!

2026-06-22

Beautiful hotel overall

2026-06-21

It’s such a large and cared for palazzo. Owner run which many people prefer. We appreciate the attention from staff and the overall standards. I have visited many times over a 40 year period and would always return

2026-06-20

Staff were brilliant and the gardens were superb

2026-06-19

There are hotels you enjoy, and then there are places that stay with you long after you've left. Palazzo Belmonte belongs firmly in the latter category. It is a truly special, magical place, and for me that comes down to three things. First, the property itself is extraordinary. It feels less like a hotel and more like a private seaside estate, with a graceful palazzo set amid beautiful gardens that lead gently to the sea. There is an understated elegance and authenticity throughout, and a sense of calm that invites you to slow down and simply enjoy the surroundings. Second, the location could hardly be better. Set directly by the sea, yet only a short stroll from the heart of Santa Maria di Castellabate, it offers the perfect balance of tranquility and authentic Italian life. Whether you're enjoying the beach, wandering through the charming streets, or exploring the surrounding coastline, everything feels effortlessly accessible. Most of all, however, what makes Palazzo Belmonte exceptional is its people. The owners and every member of the staff embody a level of graciousness, warmth, and kindness that is increasingly rare. They don't simply provide outstanding hospitality—they make you feel genuinely welcomed, as though you are a guest in their home rather than a customer in a hotel. The reception team deserves special recognition, especially Chiara and Flavia. They were unfailingly kind, endlessly patient, and seemingly tireless in helping us make the most of our stay. Whether arranging restaurant reservations, organizing visits to a mozzarella farm and to Santomiele—a remarkable fig farm and artisanal fig boutique—finding a particularly knowledgeable guide for Paestum, or securing a boat rental so we could explore the spectacular coastline around Capo Palinuro, nothing was ever too much trouble. Every recommendation was thoughtful, and every interaction was accompanied by genuine warmth and enthusiasm. What struck me most during our stay was that the ancient Greek concept of philoxenia —the love of welcoming strangers—is not simply practiced at Palazzo Belmonte. It seems woven into the very DNA of the owners, the staff, and even the people of Santa Maria di Castellabate. One afternoon we went looking for "Baffo," the gelateria everyone had recommended. We found it, only to discover it was closed. As we turned away, I noticed an elderly gentleman with a magnificent white mustache stepping out of his car nearby. On a hunch, I asked whether he happened to be Baffo. He smiled and said that he was. When he realized we had come specifically for his gelato, he apologized that the shop was closed—and then, without hesitation, offered to open it just for us. It was such a simple gesture, yet one that perfectly captured the generosity of spirit we encountered everywhere. Palazzo Belmonte is a beautiful place to stay. It is a place that reminds you that true hospitality is a cultural inheritance. In the shadow of Paestum's temples, philoxenia is not an archaeological relic—it is a living tradition. We cannot wait to return.

2026-06-19

2026-06-17

2026-06-15

Thanks for the smooth roomswitch we had to make. Over all only compliments to all the personell.

2026-06-15

Fantastic staff throughout. Couldn’t be more helpful and polite. Prepared to go above and beyond. I asked if they would place a TV in an area of the hotel so guests could watch the Formula 1 and this was immediately arranged. It was such a fun afternoon to watch it surrounded by Italians and the owners. Such wonderful people.

2026-06-15

A wonderful place to stay - the fabulous grounds are very well tended, the pool area very relaxing and the private beach area a real plus. A privilege to stay somewhere so steeped in history, yet with all modern conveniences.

2026-06-14

very friendly personnel and front desk manager

2026-06-14

A lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Special mention to Andrea at the bar and to the maintenance man who helped us understand the air conditioning. A special mention to local tour operator Massaniello Tourist run by Nicola who we used for airport transfers to and from Naples as well as a boat trip, historic Cilento tour and taxi to Agropoli. He and his family are clearly passionate about promoting the region.

2026-06-12

Safira’s massage was wonderful and Flavia was amazingly helpful with all our questions!

2026-06-07

Generally a very enjoyable stay, comfortable and quiet. The room was a good size but felt a little sparse. I asked for a table which was delivered and much appreciated. We will be back.

2026-06-03

2026-06-02

Complimenti trovo estremi miglioramenti ogni volta che vengo
